Seventh-Day Adventist Brazilian entrepreneur living in Cairo invited to represent her country at Food Africa 2025.

Ana Paula, a Seventh-day Adventist Brazilian entrepreneur living in Cairo, was invited by the Brazilian Embassy to represent her country at Food Africa 2025, the 10th anniversary of the premier international food and beverage trade exhibition in Africa and the Middle East.

Her participation prompted thoughtful responses from attendees. Following the cooking demonstration, one participant remarked that her presentation challenged common stereotypes of Brazilians “beyond soccer and carnival” and expressed appreciation for the respectful and considerate way she addressed the audience within the local religious context. She closed by inviting attendees to visit her shop and to “Taste and See”—the slogan displayed on the wall there—for themselves.

Reflecting on the experience, Ana Paula expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to engage with the broader community, represent her country, and be part of an international platform that fosters dialogue, respect, and collaboration across cultures.
