  • Called for More–MEU Students Enjoy Impactful Week of Spiritual Emphasis

Middle East University hosted a week of spiritual emphasis where students participated in worship, reflection, and hands-on activities to deepen their faith and sense of purpose.

From November 3–8, Middle East University students took part in a meaningful Week of Spiritual Emphasis, organized by university chaplain Flavio Salcedo. Throughout the week, Pastor Adriel Henke, Youth Director for the Albanian Mission, shared powerful morning messages inviting everyone to reflect on God’s higher calling in their lives.

Each day focused on a distinct aspect of that calling—
called for identity, not image; called for purpose, not performance; called for impact, not applause; called for surrender, not control; and called for eternity, not just a moment.

Evenings featured creative and interactive activities that fostered connection and further exploration of the themes, including: clay art and sculpture, sports in the courts, a movie night, board games, and an evening bonfire with marshmallows.

Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of volunteers collaborated to weave prayer, music, and Scripture into every aspect of the program, creating a spiritually rich and cohesive experience. The result was a week filled with heartfelt worship, honest reflection, and renewed commitment to live with purpose and faith.

Let us pray: Thank you, God, for MEU and the commitment of Adventist Education to restore in others your image. Bless these students as they live out their commitment to you, and may this institution continue to be a place where young people can encounter you and your plan for their lives.
