Remembering the Life of Mr. Esber Hanna Issa

Remembering the life of Mr. Esber Hanna Issa (October 31, 1945 - October 12, 2025)

Mr. Issa, originally from Afesdik, Koura, in northern Lebanon, was well known and deeply respected within the Middle East North Africa Union (MENAU) and Middle East University (MEU) communities. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Sana Issa, who faithfully served at MEU for more than 45 years, touching countless lives through her kindness and dedication in her various roles, including work in the library and admissions office.

Mr. Issa was the devoted father of Dr. John Issa, professor of teaching at MEU; Mrs. Carol Issa Zamer, teacher at the Bouchrieh Adventist School; and Mr. Rony Issa. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lina Zamer Issa, married to Dr. John Issa, also serves the MEU community with devotion and care.

Mr. Issa passed away on October 12, 2025. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, integrity, and steadfast Christian faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and faithfulness that continues through his family and all who were blessed to know him.

As a community, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Issa family. May the comfort and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ—the resurrection and the life—embrace them during this time of loss. We hold fast to the blessed hope of reunion when Christ returns.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
— Psalm 34:18
