ADRA and Adventist institutions partner to provide relief during conflict in Lebanon.
Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) and Adventist educational institutions in Lebanon have partnered to provide practical relief as a practical testimony of God’s love amid war and ongoing crisis.
This collaboration has created greater opportunities for church members, students, and staff of Adventist organizations in Lebanon to engage in service to those affected by the conflict.
ADRA Lebanon has supported 2,343 internally displaced people and more than 400 families through direct relief and care. ADRA’s emergency response provided immediate assistance to those affected. This initial crisis was followed by a second phase supported by the Middle East University Church, enabling the distribution of e-cards for essential food and hygiene items. Church and community members also assisted in distributing aid to families in need.
Adventist Community Center (ACC) and Adventist School Mouseitbeh (ASM) have joined ADRA as implementing partners, distributing hygiene and dignity kits, mattresses, and gallons of water.
In nearby strikes, several ASM teachers and students have lost their homes, including an apartment destroyed beside the school. The school itself was undamaged and continues as a place of hope, offering physical, emotional, and spiritual stability as classes have resumed.
Through ADRA and private donors, the Adventist Learning Center (ALC) helped distribute over 5,000 meals, 63 baby kits, medicine for 18 people, and ongoing support for 30 displaced families. Many students, most of whom have experienced being displaced persons themselves, participated in food prep and distribution, proudly wearing ADRA aprons that identified them as humanitarian workers.
The collaboration of ADRA and Adventist institutions in Lebanon has provided a powerful testimony of God’s love through practical service during crisis, while creating opportunities for church members and young people to actively engage in helping others.
