A spiritually enriching retreat in one of MENA’s countries brought together a diverse group of 51 attendees, with nearly half being local community members. The weekend was filled with a blend of Youth Alive-style activities, balancing spiritual enrichment with recreational moments. Attendees engaged in a range of programs held in nature and within the hotel's spaces. These moments, filled with laughter and thoughtful reflection, were designed to foster unity, build new relationships, and, most importantly, show attendees the love of God in action. The retreat was a true testament to the power of community, with a majority of the young participants joining through the invitation of Adventist Youth.
The event's success was a collaborative effort, with a dedicated team of volunteers working tirelessly behind the scenes. From arranging transportation and lodging to planning children's activities and managing the program schedule, the staff ensured the retreat ran smoothly. This collaborative spirit and constant prayer throughout the planning process were crucial, as organizers noted facing several challenges. Despite some last minute cancellations, organizers affirmed that God had brought exactly who was meant to be there, and they gave Him all the glory. The weekend concluded with the safe return of all participants, with no incidents or emergencies, as everyone radiated the light of Jesus.
The retreat's activities are seen as a potential first step toward the establishment of a "Youth Alive" program in this particular country. Organizers are praying that the Holy Spirit will work in the hearts of the young attendees and that they will continue to seek spiritual growth through future events and workshops.
