The original production by Hope Channel Arabic - Al-Waad had its digital premiere on Friday, November 22, and has already touched countless hearts, gathering more than 13 thousand views in just four days.

This 12-minute short film, inspired by a true story, vividly depicts how God reveals Himself to people through dreams and visions—a powerful and familiar experience in the Middle East and North Africa.

This project carries a message that goes beyond simple storytelling: it follows Yasmina’s journey, who after a devastating accident that killed her husband, is left to navigate life as a single mother to her grieving son, Ashraf. But one night, a mysterious man appears in her dream—a fleeting yet powerful presence that fills her with unexplainable peace and wonder.

For ten years, she searches for him in every face, clinging to the vivid memory of that divine moment. Then, during an ordinary conversation, she learns the truth: the dream was no coincidence—it was a call, a sign, an invitation to faith.

Behind this narrative stand 27 committed individuals—Al-Waad (Hope Channel Arabic) staff, volunteers, students from Middle East University, and external collaborators—each contributing their skills to bring this story to life and to portray how God shows Himself to His children.

The film's creation followed three careful stages:

Pre-production: The team carefully transformed a testimony into a script. They selected actors, scouted locations, and prepared details with thoughtful consideration.

Production: Three days of filming became an intense journey. Eight actors worked to recreate this moment, beginning early each morning. Two breaks punctuated long hours of recording, with a steady focus on capturing the story's essence.

Post-production: A collaborative effort that took two months to conclude—Al-Waad’s editing and subtitling, One:Sixteen Production House’s sound design and audio editing, and Clayton Gallego's color grading each adding depth to the visual narrative.

Jean-Jack Kareh, Executive Producer of The Day I Saw You and Managing Director of the Trans Media Group MENA shared the reason behind the production: “Through the creation of this film we wanted to show one of the many real stories of dreams and visions, and the powerful experience it holds in people’s lives. Although this is not the first project of its kind in the world, the more we heard about it happening in MENA, we came to the conclusion that we should tell the story ourselves, of what is happening in our region.”

Moises Cordova, Director of The Day I Saw You and Audiovisual Manager of Trans Media Group MENA commented: “The events that unfolded during the production were a constant reminder that God was with us. Whenever we encountered an issue or a setback, we were powerfully reminded that the real mastermind of every step was indeed God, and we just needed to bring to Him our problems, and after that, He always provided the perfect solution.”

Watch the Behind the Scenes interviews to see the journey of those who recreated this real-life story—each frame a reflection of faith, each moment revealing subtle signs of divine guidance. Through their narrative, you'll understand how this film was more than a production; it was a collaboration where challenges became moments of insight, and obstacles opened paths to understanding, with the unique goal of portraying the miraculous ways in which God shows Himself to His children.

The Day I Saw You is a bridge between the seen and unseen, exploring the ways divine communication manifests. In a region where dreams and visions are deeply meaningful experiences, this film speaks to hearts seeking to understand connections with the divine—through a "man in white," a "celestial being," or Jesus Christ (Isa Al-Masih).
